Answers to the most common questions about our kittens, vet work, pricing, and visiting policies.
Back to HomeHow much are your kittens?
Prices vary per litter queen and are offered in two tiers — Registered American x Euro and Registered pure European. All kittens have extensive vet work which reflects the price, done to make the process stress-free for the pet owner. All prices are in Canadian currency. 2
Do you offer any breeding rights?
Our males were shipped here to Canada from overseas and because of the long and complex import process, all kittens are homed as pets only. Therefore, no breeding rights are offered for kittens or stud services. 3
How big do your kittens get?
There’s no guaranteed size — sizes vary. Males are generally larger than females and weights can range from about 12 lbs to 30 lbs on average. Diet, exercise, and genetics all affect ultimate size. 4
Are your kittens vet checked?
Yes. Our kittens are vigorously vet checked beginning at one month of age and continue monthly until they are fully vaccinated and desexed. They come desexed with three boosters including rabies and are microchipped. They are held back an extra week after surgery before they are allowed to leave. 5
Can I wait to have my kitten fixed?
All kittens leave after being desexed. You can wait for the surgery, but boarding fees will apply and the kitten will be held back in the breeder’s care until surgery is complete. 6
Do I need to brush my cat?
Absolutely! Maine Coons are longhaired and need frequent grooming to avoid matting and to reduce hairballs. 7
Do you offer any health guarantees?
Yes. We offer a one-year congenital defect health guarantee. Additionally, included is one month of free pet insurance with Trupanion. It is strongly recommended to continue pet insurance until your kitten is one year old to provide peace of mind and protection. 8
May I come view the kittens?
Yes, by appointment. A nominal $20 fee is required to schedule a viewing. This fee goes toward a kitten if adopted. Viewings take place at our home in Medicine Hat, AB, offsite from our main breeding facility for health and safety reasons. All visitors must wash their hands before handling and remain seated while handling kittens. 9
